I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. I've been entertaining the Jewish Community there, in Milwaukee and in Chicago, Illinois, since 1988.
In my first years of college I was a radio, night club and mobile disc jockey. In 1990 I transferred back to the city that I called home and attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I also started my own mobile disc jockey company called www.MadCityDJ.com (AKA: www.Timo.DJ).
Although I thoroughly enjoy being part of wedding receptions and corporate functions, I truly love entertaining middle school and Bar/Bat Mitzvah-age kids. That age is great! They have so much energy on the dance floor and they never get bored. No matter how many line dances or group participation activities I throw at them, they are always ready for more fun.
In 2007 I relocated my business to Austin, Texas. My company name www.MadCityDJ.Com transformed into www.djSimcha.com, also know as www.TexasDiscJockeys.com.
On a side note, under TexasDiscJockeys.Com I also market my business to Latina women turning 15 years old (www.djQuinceanera.com) and to Sweet 16 birthday parties (www.djSweet16.com).
I love to create an interactive party--a celebration where both kids and adults are dancing until the very last song. My goal is for you to have as much fun as I’m having.
My Apple laptop and cordless headset microphone help to keep me organized and more interactive on the dance floor. I can find your request in three seconds and I'll ensure that the age-appropriate music for your kids and guests is enjoyed by all. My headset microphone allows me complete freedom of motion, allowing me to take requests, lead the line dances and the group participation activities from the dance floor.
I'll make your child feel special on their day. By meeting with you before your Simcha, I'll be able to customize your celebration. I will come to your home and meet with your family face-to-face, guiding you through the music selection sheets and Simcha itinerary sheets. The sheets are flexible outlines that direct my schedule at the party, and through them I'll cover everything we've discussed. I’ll learn about your child’s personality and I'll help your child have the time of his or her life.
